SLøTFACE BRIGHT LIGHTS

Norwegian indie disco kids Sløtface have turned down the energy, but not the talent in new introspective single ‘Bright Lights’. Their debut ‘Take Me Dancing’ was a thrashing belter, where as this one peels back the band's layers and is entirely softer in its treatment. It isn’t exactly acoustic though and still hefty in places, as the razor-sharp guitars are present and the chorus is as catchy as ever. Their writing style harks back to the heydays of indie, with nods to Ida Maria and the likes of The Long Blondes in equal parts. Taken from their forthcoming EP, out 18th November via Propellor Recordings, the Scandinavian foursome are playing London no less than five times in the comings weeks! - SJ
